UPDATED March 6, 2026:
I keep getting questions over in the ProPresenter Users' Group about what computers can run ProPresenter. This post, which I'll try to keep updated is to answer that question:
Macs:
A18 MacBook Neo?
Yes, BUT I'd be VERY CAUTIOUS. about anything, but the most bare-bones installation. It can do ONE and ONLY ONE hardware screen. It MUST be a system screen, so unlike all other recent Macs, you can't add an Ultrastudio Monitor 3G for one more hardware screen like you could with the M2 Mini. It has ZERO Thunderbolt ports, just two USB-C shaped connections. I'm actually MOST concerned about the RAM though. Neither configuration goes beyond 8GB, which is right on the edge of what Renewed Vision recommends. So, while it would work for some, DO NOT think "I'll buy this $600 computer and be able to do everything the M4 mini (or better) can do."
M4 Macs?
The base model M4 iMac only supports two displays total, but the base model M4 Mac Mini supports three. i actu...
Recently, I did a one on one consulting call with Josh N. His church wanted to live-stream, send something different to the projectors, and send the same video from the live-stream to the nursery and lobby.
You might be thinking, "He'll need to buy a lot of equipment to do that."
Nope.
He had most of what he needed (he just needed a couple SDI to HDMI converters, but other than that, he had it all).
So, what was the problem?
He didn't know what to hook up where.
I took some notes and then guided him through hooking it all up and the video on this page is what he said after we were done.
If you'd like to learn more about live video production, ProPresenter, and live-streaming, you can either book one on one time with me or click here to find out more about joining ChurchTechU, my online church tech training community.

I have a member of my extended family who MIGHT have COVID. She's not in great health, so this MIGHT be a very bad thing, but...
We'll get through it.
Remember what they say, "This too shall pass."
That's the good news of our situation AND the bad news. Whatever is happening will change.
Happily, as a person of faith, I know how it ends. Whether it gets worse before it gets better or it gets better, the future will eventually get better.
So, this is a quick message to say, hold on, no matter what your situation. Some day, we'll be able to tell everyone about how bad 2020 was, just as those in 1920 could tell how bad 1918 was.
